Population:
• Over 48% of Chile’s population is under the age of 25.
• Chile’s population is reported at 15.6 million in 2002, up from 15.4m in 2001.

Economic Indicators:

  bilateral trade in consumer and industrial products tariff free and duty free within 4 years.

The Sporting Goods Industry:
• Sports beyond traditional soccer and tennis are becoming more practiced throughout society.
• Economic growth over the last 3 years created more disposable income making sports and outdoor
  recreational activities more popular.
• Over 5 million Chileans participate actively in sports for personal fitness or leisure.
